With all of the different insurance policies that are presently available to cover you in the case that you suffer an ailment, there are many people that are actually interested in obtaining several types of coverage at one. You do have the option to obtain critical illness with life insurance coverage if you choose.

However, by combining these two policies together, there are a few things that you should be aware of. Setting up these two plans together will put everything on one plan for you, thus saving you more money simply because you do not have to purchase two plans. If you were to die, or suffer an illness you would receive your money in a lump sum payment to assist you and your family with their expenses.

However, before you decide to combine these two policies together you need to understand that a few things will change with the claim process. Since the policies are combined into one policy, you will only be able to make a claim on the policy once.

Basically, once you have made a claim for critical illness, your policy will cease. You will no longer have your life insurance coverage because a claim was already made against your policy. Since this policy counts as one policy, you are only allowed one claim per policy, even though these are two separate policies that have just been bundled together into one.

There are a lot of people that have shied away from the idea of combining policies, because they feel that they will not receive the right amount of life coverage that they desire. However, if your finances are a factor obtaining these two crucial insurance together in one policy may do well for you.

You also have the option of obtaining life assurance coverage and later paying an additional amount in order to also have insurance in the case that you suffer a critical illness. It is a little bit more expensive when the two policies are not combined, but you can end up being able to submit two claims instead of one, this equates to more money for your family.
